Here's a little sound design experiment i did using chopped up samples of me and my friend messing about , i then put us in the king,s chamber of the great pyramid in giza , check out the reverbs !.

Riding in building elevator during a trip to visit rrr in lowell. 0:18 - close mic elevator fan noise with weird ringing sound; 0:30 - drumming on elevator interior; 0:45ish - elevator doors opening and closing. 0:55 - "good day!".

A sound i experimented with one day. I have no idea why it has such a weird name. But slow it down and see what i did to get my results. You'll get a very bad quality voice.

From the depths of the industrial zone on zarkon. This loop is a combination of various 'found sounds' one is a focke wulf 190 bmw engine sound dropped in pitch, a squeak from a universal joint on a suspension system and a loop of an industrial guillotine. Chopped looped tracked assembled and reverbed in roxio sound editor.

These are samples from the new korg electribe emx2 music production station not the best recording quality but some nice sounds anyway the weird naming is due to the autoslice function in renoise wich i used to separate the samples from a one shot recording.

I have an old toy called a zube tube which is a cardboard tube with a plastic cup in each end and a long spring stretched between the cups. When you shake the tube it makes the weirdest sounds! in this recording i am holding and shaking the tube vertically. You can hear the spring oscillating.

Extracted from camera recorded content, tidied up with audacity mono and noisegate. . . I also listen for problems and cherry pick to avoid weird sounds. . No rubbish dry sample. Weird little looping, scratching sound effect. Responds well to a lot of different effects. Try looping it or feeding it into a wavetable / granular synth and see what you can come up with!.

Heavy reverb and delay effects, low gain guitar. To the point type of licks but then some moody chords to finish it out. Probably best served up in smaller sections.

Raw sampled ieframe. Exe on a hungarian windows 7 64-bit computer using audacity. The reason why it's only 11khz in frequency range is becaue 44 100 hz makes the sample too high pitched.

A weird and a little spooky sound that i somehow have in my collection for years now, but i don't have the slightest idea of how or when it was created. . . I think it has something unique. I wish it was longer.

Created from ableton's stock instrument "light key". Created a midi, freezed and flattened, added automation effects added some lfo, some eq re arranged the echo effect to fit what i thought, and just saved it as this.

This is the sound-signature of many of the problems with digital audio equipment, a source sound of now-unidentifiable character was mangled using a selection of iterative granular resampling, timestretching and recombination techniques, almost all of which produce noisy artefacts, intermodulation artefacts and a particuarly weird sort of very noisy geomtetric comb filtering.

I have no idea what this was. I don't know if it's my voice or an external sound i didn't hear while recording. It was found randomly on my most recent recording of playing containment breach, and it was very quiet, so i increased the volume to try and figure out what it was, but it's still a mystery to me. Jokes on you! thats not a real bird. It was in fact my mouth that made the noise. Well technically i made a weird noice into the mic, then i only kept the high pitched sounds and with a little bit of editing. So yeah, it is my mouth but not the raw sound. I'm not that good. If you could tell that it wasn't a bird from the start then you get the prize of downloading this sound :).
